Happy Birthday to me =D
Cristiano Rondaldo £80m to Real Madrid! June 12, 2009
Hey guys,
Nothing to do with tech, but it’s mind boggling at just how much money football clubs can just throw away!
Also, how much they can pay Ronaldo. With his salary of £106,000,000 (thats right 106MILLION) he could do the following:
Ronaldo’s possible £556,000-a-week wage in the last year of his contract works out at:
£79,428 a day
£3,309 an hour
£55 a minute
92p per second
Or, if Real Madrid play two games in a week:
£51.48 per second on the pitch.
What can Ronaldo buy with his total £106m Real Madrid contract?
- A Big Mac for every man, woman and child in the United Kingdom.
- 530 new Ferrari 599 GTBs, like the one he wrote off in a crash earlier this year.
- Himself, with enough change for Carlos Tevez.
- Newcastle United Football Club.
- 588,000 hours in a tanning salon.
- 34,754,098 tubes of Brylcreem wet look hair gel.
- 42,400 ceiling mirrors.
- The most expensive house in Los Angeles, which belongs to TV producer Aaron Spelling, a three-story mansion with 56,500 square feet of space and a 4.6 acre estate.
- 163,077 bottles of Cristal champagne for himself and Paris Hilton at Hollywood nightspot My House.
- 26,500,000 inflatable donkeys.
- 10,610,610 pairs of Cristiano Ronaldo pyjamas.
- 706,666,667 telephone votes for Cristiano Ronaldo as Overseas Sports Personality of 2009.

Due to it being fairly new in the market, so to speak, there hasn’t been any extensive testing of the software to see just how effective it is. However, trusting IObit is something I have done for a long time now and I doubt they’ll disappoint this time.
Just remember that this is still BETA software so there may be some bugs and some features that are not yet fully functional.
So, if you are willing to add another anti-spyware to your PC security I find no harm in installing this app!

Auslogics Disk Defrag V2 Beta! June 4, 2009
Hey guys,
Auslogics has released a new beta version (v2.0.0.12) of their Free Disk Defrag software.
I have posted about this software before stating how pretty darn amazing it is, alongside its competitors, but this time I think they have added in features that were lacking before and now make it an even better contender.
It has full support for x64 OS’s as well as Windows 7 and comes with small but useful features, not to mention a 30% speed increase on the rate of defragmentation.
Visit http://www.auslogics.com/ and see the other products that they have for many everyday computer needs.

Opera 10 Beta! June 3, 2009
Hey guys,
I frequently post about the latest browsers that are launched into the market and as the title shows, a new one is about to emerge, or rather a new iteration of a distinguished browser.
Opera has been around for ages and has been classed as a small underdog against the likes of Firefox, IE and even Chrome even though that has been around for far less time.
I have dabbled in and out of the Opera pool and every time I found at first that I loved the ‘different’ features but then find out I hate the browser, but this time things have changed. Opera seems to be extremely fast – to the likes of Chrome dare I say?
I think this time I will be sticking with Opera for a while alongside using IE, FF and GC.
Opera not only has a long history in the field but also has a full 100/100 in the Acid3 test and has extremely handy features such as SpeedDial (which can be found as extensions for FF and is similar to the home layout of GC), also it has Opera Turbo that is extremely useful for people who are on slow connections i.e. dial-up.
Anyways, I really recommend this browser to you guys out there if you wish to experiment, or you may wish to wait until the final RTM has been released.
Bye!
All browsers in one! May 26, 2009
Hey guys,
This one really is interesting! I came across an article (can’t remember where) about a new web browsers that claims to be the first hybrid browser on the internet. It also claims that it is the fastest which you would see as soon as you visit teh homepage.
Basically, the browser has the browsing engine of all the leading web browsers in one application. So, let’s say you find that some browsers display certain websites better than others, well in this new browser you can quickly switch which engines to use on which pages.
I almost forgot, the browser is call Lunascape and the site is here:
Enjoy =D
Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Preview Leaked May 16, 2009
Hey guys!
Thus far, our thirst for new stuff to rip to bits has been kept quenched by Windows 7, and now that there won’t be anything really new with Windows 7 builds except for under the hood bug fixes and performance improvements here and there.
It seems that there will be another widely used Microsoft product to keep us occupied: Microsoft Office 2010, also known as Microsoft Office 14.
Build 14.0.4006.1010, which is a technical preview, has seeped its way onto the internet, and it may be found at the torrent links at the bottom of this article. Office 2010 is confirmed to ship in both x64 and x86 flavors, and both have leaked. Keep your eyes out on GeekSmack for a screenshot gallery and an overview of all the new and exciting things in Office 2010, and I’d like to thank community member Panda X for the tip!

Windows 7 RC! May 6, 2009
Hey guys,
Well I have made the transition from Windows 7 Beta (build 7000) to the latest Windows 7 RC (build 7100).
I have to say that installation was a doddle…again. It took me 12 minutes and 48 seconds to reach the screen in which I had to set up my username and password and by 15 minutes and 2 seconds I was on my desktop with my network driver installed, ready to use Windows 7 RC!
So far it seems that the performance tune-ups have in actual fact made a difference, but I’m sure that things will get slightly more bogged down once all my software etc have been reinstalled.
So that was just a breif update.. more later.
Bye!
DOWNLOAD LINKWindows Vista & Office 2007 SP2 April 29, 2009
Hey guys,
It seems that with the huge development on Windows 7, Microsoft hasn’t forgotten the much criticized predecessor Windows Vista.
With that said we come to the topic of the title, the second service pack for both Windows Vista and Office 2007.
It seems as though Microsoft has many hotfixes for us this time and the service pack for SP2 is pretty large indicating many changes. I have installed it personally on my Windows 7 machine and I guess there is a somewhat increase in performance. I have yet to try SP2 for Vista so I have no viewpoint on that.
Either way I strongly suggest that if you have either or both of these software packages, you should definitely upgrade by installing the second service packs.
Vista SP2 has been released to MSDN and Technet Subscribers and should be out very soon for public use.
The office SP2 update has already been released and is available via Windows update or the following link:
Enjoy!
